Lo is the estranged daughter of YoYo and Phaedra Underby. She has studied under YoYo Underby and Nightshade Sixpence, and trained as a baker with her mother, but found it best to go her own way rather than be manipulated by would-be masters.

It turns out she wasn't at all who she thought she was, as Phaedra revealed that she had actually stolen her from the crib of a neighboring family after her own daughter failed to thrive when they lived in Berlin. She currently lives with the Sonnerstein family.
