From New Babbage Department of Records and Archives

Captain Zessinthal was one of New Babbage's great engineers excelling in Aeronautics. His life came to an abrupt end while residents of New Babbage looked on, as his greatest achievement 'The Zen Zephelin Air Ship' burst into flames above Port Babbage.

A Black Box recording later revealed that a bomb had been found on board the airship only moments before it exploded. You can listen to the recording [HERE].

Further investigation revealed that Captain Zessinthal was a member of the 13 Club and that he was looking into research involving the Cloud Angel myth. He claimed that he had harnessed the power of a Cloud Angel which would lead to constructing ships of goliath sizes.

It was never discovered who planted the Bomb on board, but some residents believe it was either the Van Creed or Jason Moriarty. Both had a big part to play in what became known as the Cloud Angel Saga.
