At the CocoaJava Cafe on Saturday Night in New Babbage...

On every other Saturday night at 6:30 PM SLT, people gather and take turns with stories over the course of a pleasant hour at the CocoaJava Cafe to see if they can out-drink, out-tell and also keep Miss CeeJay Writer from reading her own work. They do not always succeed but tonight they did! Or....thought they did...with 2:35 left on the clock Miss Writer whipped out a 2.5 page scene from Down the Tubes and unleashed it on us!

This round, Nika Thought-werk, Ceejay Writer, Jimmy Branagh, Emerson Lighthouse, Vernden Jervil, JedburghDagger and myself were in attendance. Tonight the stories were in text with a lively background of music from Radio Riel Reverie but I have offered to read for Miss Thought-werk so that may be on the plate for a Saturday in the near future! :)

A delightful review, Miss Aeon! I quite enjoyed the story hour last night, and will admit I am contemplating expanding it to 90 minutes. No, I am not trying to game the 'let's keep Ceejay from reading' challenge... or am I?

Luckily, I am out of fanfiction that I am willing to share in public.  Can't vouch for Emerson's ethics, though. ;)

We meet every other Saturday at the latest incarnation of my CocoaJava Cafe. All are welcome, and opinions of the writings are heavily encouraged! Hope to see more of my neighbors Saturday after next.

That's okay Ceejay, no need to vouch, I happen to be an excellent voucher—second to none in fact. So let me here and now vouch forthwith and state for the record that my ethical foundation is built upon my own rock solid moral rectitude. In short, I am a saint.

Also everybody should come to the Cocajava, I swiped the keys to the liquor cabinet after Ceejay left so there is free booze for all.

Hah! the man lies. His definition of 'vouch' is 'whatever comes to the forefront of my monkeybrain'.  There are no keys, there is no cabinet. I store the booze cache in the spirit of National Treasure. You gotta search but you'll be rewarded.

And I have resisted making wordplay fun of 'rectitude'. I want points for that. Goddess points.

*looks shocked; points to himself; glances around for support and mouths: 'me, lie?'

By the way, you can play all you want, but my rectitude is unassailable.

Sir Sir Emmerson is a voucher? Wonder what he's redemable for.....

Alas, while my value is undeniably invaluable I have heard it whispered that I may be unredeemable.

*slaps forehead and writes next date of Tall Tales on arm*

Loved your review, Fauve. This is always a fun event.  I'm all for lazing around CocoaJava and hearing good stories. It's a nice way to end a Saturday night.
