4/1 - Hunting Confusion (Devil's Toenail)

I heard rumblings of a planned monster hunt in the sewers today, and thought I'd best go along.  It was quite the group that went down the hole by City Hall - urchins, newcomers, experienced residents, most of them armed to the teeth.  We split up into a couple of groups; the one I was with went east at first, but didn't see anything.  So we backtracked to the Square area... and that's where all hell broke loose.

Looks uglier than it smells

Domino clambered through a broken hole in a tunnel wall under Loner Lane. The fowl smell of the sewer hit her and she crinkled her nose. She had climbed out to change into something more sensible and collect weapons to explore the new sink holes. Cut stones from the tunnel walls lay strewn around, broken and smashed by what ever had passed through.

Scottie stirred on the cold wet stone of the sewer floor, his clothing soaking in Builder-knew-what and his body groaning in pain. He attempted to move his limbs and this time his body cried out in agony. Grunting, he started wiggling his toes and fingers, ankles and wrists, knees and elbows. His mental inventory complete and indicating that yes, he hurt like hell, he forced himself to roll onto his back and let out a pained sigh.

Loki Eliot decided to hold his annual Pancake Race underground. In the sewers. I have no idea why. It was something of a ramshackle affair - the course was created by placing boards across the water, propped by the small walkways on either side. The placement of the boards was not uniform, creating rather interesting gaps to add to the trickiness of the race.

Still, I would have won the adults-only race, if I hadn’t tripped on a...

Not Throwing Away My Shot... or An Urchin Returns

New York City, 188~

The young man looked with trepidation at the gleaming hull of the I.S.S. Hercules Mulligan, the newest cruiser in the Empire's fleet. The airship was rumored to be twice as powerful as the next fastest airship in the fleet. It had been a while since he had seen a ship so... clean looking. It was almost unnatural. He began walking toward the ship, when suddenly he heard a voice shouting.

"Hey! What do you...
