Bookworm returned from a singularly unpleasant meeting with Violet Solano, to find a telegram waiting for her. She skimmed it quickly, and her brow furrowed in concern. As she handed it to Mariah, she called out, "Mrs. Pritchard! Mrs. Sawyer!" They hurried in, and she continued, "I need to go to my parents’ home immediately. You can hold the fort, I trust?"
