After having seen the raven, Dr. Cyberusfaustus made haste with his construction and fortifications. He also tried in vain to find any word of his colleages... The hospital was gone and the reports were that the asylum was full... always a bad omen. Most troubling, no one had seen Mr. Arnold for days. The doctor's own attempts at finding him were futile.
Night had fallen when Scottie, Sky, and Brother Lapis stepped warily into the locked room under Loner Lane. Each was armed; the Brother with his blunderbuss and his rapier, Sky with dual pistols and her golden blade, and Scottie with his shotgun and silver katana strapped to his side.
As I ascended out of the ocean I noticed that I needed to refuel. I forgot that traveling through the Vortex, even within the same temporal location, would still burn through power and it had been a long time since I had refueled. The timelock prevented me from accessing the normal refueling points, but I had found a way to convert Aetheric power into a makeshift fuel source.

Last night had been an awakening for Orpheus. He awoke this morning with renewed vim and vigour. He went into his library to look at that journal he had been avoiding for days. He sat and read....
Bookworm Hienrichs was upstairs writing when the doorbell rang. She had, finally, gotten used to letting Mrs. Pritchard answer the door--that was, after all, the housekeeper's job--rather than rushing to it herself. However, when she finished the sentence she was writing, she paused, waiting to see if she'd be needed.
